Ken Downey, Founder & President

Ken created RDX Healthcare in the summer of 2018.  Mr. Downey has spent the last 20 years providing services in the healthcare sector, and during those two decades, he has earned and fostered trusted relationships with key C-suite decision makers.  Additionally, Mr. Downey joined Claritas Capital in 2020 to help launch Claritas Health Ventures for the purpose of providing health systems the ability to invest in growth-oriented technology and services companies. He leads and manages Claritas Capital’s key partnerships and relationships with health system executives. Additionally, he facilitates introductions to innovative companies/technologies from within the Claritas ecosystem. 

Prior to Claritas & RDX Healthcare, Mr. Downey was a Managing Director at Highland Associates, a Birmingham-based investment consulting firm specializing in healthcare.  While at Highland, he created and led the business development platform and opened a Nashville office for the firm.  Prior to his work at Highland, Mr. Downey was a Managing Director, Partner and Shareholder at Ponder & Co., a leading healthcare advisory firm.  It was during his almost 14 years at Ponder that he developed his extensive network with the nation’s leading healthcare systems. 

Mr. Downey received his B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University.  He resides in Nashville, TN with his wife Beth where they enjoy keeping up with their three adult children.
